The fallß of Niagra have cut a channel through the solid rocks 200 feet deep 1,200 to 2,000 feet wide and seven miles long, Tue evidence is conclusive that the fulls were formerly at Queenstown, seven miles below their present situation. It has been shown that they have receded not more than a foot a year for the past half century.
