A TERRIBLE SYDNEY TRAGEDY SroNEy, June 9. A tragedy is reported from Camper down, the western suburb of, Sydney. Ezra Abrahams, a Jewish lolly vendor, and a married man with a family, became infatuated with a Miss Goodacro. Ho pestered her with his attentions, but she refused all advanoes. , The oouple met in the street this afternoon, and she endeavoured to avoid Abrahams, who drew a revolver and fired three shots at her, the bullets lodging .in her arms and back; The ruffian then fired'two shots into his own abdomen. Abrahams is in a critical condition, but the girl, though seriously wounded, is likely to recover.
A FATAL MISTAKE
•, Sydney, June 9. ; ~ Three more .of the aboriginals .at Mountforn, who drank a ■ decoction ‘supplied to them by a man named .Kelly, in mistake for rum, have succumbed, making five victims in all. At the inquest Kelly gave evidence that he obtained the bottle from a certain shop. He was intoxicated at the -time, and believing the contents to bo rum, drank some himself and gave the blacks a drink, He himself suffered severely from what he had drunk.

DECLARATION OF FRIENDSHIP TO . -ENGLAND : London, June 7. Guildhall was brilliantly and lavishly decorated to-day for the rooeptioh of Prinoe Nasrullali Khan by the Lord Mayor of London. The, Prince was presented with an address enclosed in gold casket, and in the course of his reply he said he was extremely grateful for the kindness shown him by the Queen and her people. His father’s policy, be pointed out, had converted a former /difference between the two countries into a friendship, and his own visit was an evidence of the Ameer’s sincere attachment to England. He prayed that this union might continue and gain strength.
