TOWN BOARD.
SPECIAL MEETING. A special meeting of the Te Aroha Town Board was held on Saturday evening to receive tenders for the various works to be let. The following tenders were received for re-forming and grading Bridge Street : E. Parr, £214 ; P. Bain, £212 10s ; Mulcahoy, £195.3s 4d; P. O’Grady, £143 (accepted). Lipsey’s Bridge : Jas. Lavery, £73 (accepted). ClearingStoney CreokTrack: Smith £ls (accepted). This being all tho businoss the meeting closed.
A SPEOrAL mooting of tho Te Aroha Town Board was held in the Domain Buildings last ovoning, to consider reletting of tho contract for formation of Bjidgo-stroot, which was forfeited by O’Grady. Com. Gavin proposed and Com Bradley socondod, that tho Board retain the £5 deposit paid by O’Grady. Carried.
Proposed by Com Hethorington and seconded by Com Hotchin, that fresh tenders bo called for same, to be returnable on Saturday evening, the 6th inst., at 7 o’clock. Carried.
