FATAL ACCIDENT TO MR F. W. BROWN.
New 3 reached Paeroa by telegram on Sunday (says -the Tribune), of . the' death of Francis William Brown, a~ nephew of Mr John Thorp, who for many years resided at Paeroa and Owharoa. Mr Brown'was drowned in a dam .at Wairoa on Friday. ?, : Wo have ho particulars. . The deceased was a highly educated.young man, and was unmarried. He was a son. of MiBrown who edited the Now Zralander" newspaper in 1863. during the time the Waitoa settlors were driven from their homes by .the Maori War.
