THOMPSON’S TRACK
(to the Editor.} Sir, —My attention has been drawn to a-letter in your issue of Saturday last under the above heading, in which the following sentence occurs : “Mr J. Mills, who has known all along that it was to be only 8 ft., informs me that it will afterwards be widened.” I wish to state in reply to the above, that I have not known all along, nor -do I know now, that it was to be only 8 ft. wide. Perhaps Mr Herries will have the courtesy to give his authority for this tarradiddle.—l am, etc., James Mills.
