OH INEMURI COUNTY COUNCIL

At a special meeting of the above Council held on Thursday last, the 21st iust, tho following Councillors were present- -Crs. Edwards (in chair), Corbett, Nash, McGruor, and Thorp. Tenders were oponed viz :—No. 88. —Breaking 500yds. metal at Owharoa Quarry. P. Treanor, £125; P. Smith, £IOB 6s fid; D. Dines, £lll 9s; W. McKenna, £95 16 8d (accepted). No. 39,—Breaking 200yds. metal at Karangahake. P. Smith, £67 10s; T. Loughman, £67 (accepted).

No. 41. Extension of PaeroaWaitoa Hoad. A. McCann, £119; Jas. Shine, £ll4 15 s; D. Dines, £96 16s lid; W.,Gooding and party, £Bl 16s 3d (accepted). No. 42.—Enlarging Drain at Kaouiti Creek. D. McCarthy, £55 ; Gooding, £47 10s; D. Dines, £39; W. Grant and party', £4O (accepted). No. 43.—Carting metal at JRotokohu. John Goonan, £6O; 11. Mackie, £52 108; James Parr, £37 10s; James Orr, £33 15s (accepted). No. 41.—Oarting metal and gravel near Owharoa. John Goonan, £2O (accepted); Jas. Orr, £2O 9s; E. Bein, £2l 12s. It was resolved to call for tenders, all returnahla at the next meeting on the 4th April next, for the following works : (1). -For carting metal on Waitokauri lower road. (2 & 3). —For completion of Golden Cross road in two contracts. (4) -For enlarging Paeroa-Waitoa road, drain from outfall at Kaouti creek. (5) -For cleaning out and enlarging Te Araha road outfall drain from Kaouiti Creek.
