TnE ordinary monthly meeting' , of. .the above Board took place in their office, in the Domain buildings on Saturday last, there being present, the Ohairr man, Mr T. (ravin, and Corns. Bradley, Hetherington, and Hotchin. Minutes . —Considerable discussion took place as to the correctness or Otherwise of the minutes of last meeting, re‘the engineer’s plansijand specifications of Bridge-st. Corns. Hetherington and Hotchin. maintaining' that they nfever sanctioned that the work was to be carried out according to Mr Payitt’s plans and specifications: ~ On the motion of Com. Bradley, seconded by the Chairman, it was resolved that the minutes-of the ordinary meeting be confirmed, ' The motion was put to the meeting and was carried on the casting vote of the Chairman. Coins., Hetherington and Hotchin dissenting. ‘ f ; The outward and inward correspondence was then read. Band Instruments --A letter was read from the Secretary of the Brass Band, asking that the instruments be transferred to the bandmaster.—The clerk.was. instructed to write-to the bandmaster, asking for a list of the instruments and persons who have them in their possession. Tenders. Tenders- for supplies, etc.,l as .called for by advertisement were then opened as follows iterosene, 11s 6d a case ; wire nails, 2d lb .; ewbank. nails, 2ilb., A. Laybourn. Teams.—Two horse . teams, ids per day,' "one horse team, 11s per day, P. Baine. • It was resolved that Messrs Laybourn and Baine’-s tenders be accepted. Tenders for Pound.— The onlytender for the position of poundkeeper was. that of Mr G. Smith’s. On the motion of Com. Hetheringlon, seconded by" Com Hotchin it was resolved that "'Mr Smith’s tender be not. accepted.. It was resolved on the motion of the chairman, seconded by Com Bradfoy that the, Clerk be given until next meeting he will look after the Ptuind for,: and that the meeting stanf^''adjourned : tillf next Saturday Ififch, for that purpose. w-ere passed foV .payment.
