HORTICULTURAL SHOW

A meeting of the Committee of the Te Aroha Horticultural Society took place in the News office on Monday evening last, March 4th. Present : Messrs Strange (in the chair), Hawkins, Hansen, Taylor, Borrie, Bossons, .Bowler, McKenzie, Hotchin, Hetherington, Me Indoe, and Mrs Blencowe.

Minutes of previous meeting werei read and confirmed.

Special Train. —A letter was read from the Traffic Manager of the New Zealand Railways, stating he could not see his way to grant the special train asked for by the Society. Tables, etc. —It was decided to accept Mr Lavery’s offer for erecting tables in the Hall on show day. It was also resolved to open the Hall to receive exhibits this afternoon.

A considerable amount of other business was transacted, all ..of which will tend towards the success of the show. . /.
