DISASTER AT SEA.

FIRE AND CYCLONE. London, July 14. The Hooghly, from Sydney, sighted the Carmelite from Sydney, which was burning, at tho end of February. After rive days’ struggle with the fire tho crew were transferred to the Hooghly, which afterwards suffered in a cyclone, and ran short of food and water. Several deaths in consequence occurred amongst the crew, who became unable to work the ship, bub were rescued on May 10th.
