STANLEYS MARRIAGE.
ILLNESS OF THE BRIDEGROOM. A BRILLIANT CEREMONY. London, July 12. Mr H. M. Stanley had a very serious attack of gastritis two days before his marriage with Mias Dorothy Tennenfc, but was ablo to attend the ceremony in Westminster Abbey, though he was in a very weak state. The officiating clergymen at the marriage ceremony were the Bishop of Ripon, the Master of "tho Temple, and the Dean of Manchester. Among those present were the Prince of Wales, Mr (Gladstone, the leaders of society, art, and literature. The Abbey was crowded with the public. All tho members of the Emin Bey Relief Committee were present. Stanley was very unwell, and appeared supported by a stick. King Leopolds representative acted as Stanley’s best man, and Stanley’s African companions as groomsmen. Tho spectacle was a most brilliant one, and the presents both numerous and valuable. Stanley is slowly recovering from the attack of gastritis.
