The monthly meeting of the above Board (adjourned from the Saturday previous) was held oil Monday evening. Present: Messrs Lipsey, Heathcote, and Mills.
Tenders : Tenders were opened and considered for new works as under : Contract No. 1 : To cut down bank near Mr Cochrane’s, Thames road-—Fill up a gully near Mr P. Baiun’s, Brick street—Form part- of Koromiko street, near Mr Hotchin’s house—Make footpath in Burgess street from the Railway station to Rata street (past Mr Aider’si —To clear footpath up to Mr J, W. R. Guilding’s—To cut drains in, Koromiko and Puriri streets : P. Dillon, L 33 Iss ; Johnson and Robinson, L 25 8s; C. Willis, L 23 Gs Gd ; G. C, Deverill, L2l 8s; Q. McCabe (accepted ), Ll 9 IBs 9d.

some L3O was still due for rates. Accounts : The following accounts were passed for payment : G. C. Deverill (carting gravel, Ll9dt-ls 6d ; sundries, 15s 6d—L2o '7s ; less Ll 5 paid on account), L 5 7s ; CJ. Aider (9 9in. pipes), LI 7s ; R. Michael (labour as surfaceman @ 7s per day), L 5 19s ; T. M. Lawler (salary as Clerk of Te Aroha Licensing District), L 3 4s ; Waikato Times'(printing 200 vouchers), 15s ; Geo. Lovegrove ( painting, etc., Notice Board), 10s 6d ; J. B. Johnson (kerosene), 7s 6d ; Total, Ll 7 12s. Resolved that Mr Lawlor’s account, be held over, and that the others be passed for payment. This was all the business.
