THE GERMAN ARMY.
PROPOSED INCREASE.
Berlin, June 7. Considerable excitement has been occasioned by the statement made in the Reichstag by the German Minister of War, to the effect that it was intended to increase the strength of the army by 50,000 men, construct an additional railway for strategic purposes, and obtain a further supply of rifles.
The fate of the Army Bill is doubtful.
