Some years back the Earl (then Viscount Boyle) and his younger brother went to Canada to make a fortune ranching. They were not successful, and in 1887 the Hon. Henry Boyle returned to become ‘ something in the city.’ The Viscount remained and was elected a member of the Canadian Parliament. Lord Shannon has, besides inheriting a title, come in for a large sum of money. His younger brother and heir presumptive has started prosecuting inquiries personally in the Dominion,”
