Messrs Hunter and Nolan’s Weekly Report.—Horse feed, grain, seeds, etc. : There has been nothing stirring in the market, and with the exception of a little downward tendency in the value of oats, no alteration in prices. We quote: Oats, from Is lid to 2s Id per bushel ; maize, 3s to 3s 3d ; oaten chaff, £2 10s to £3 per ton; bran, £3 15s to £4 per ton. Horses: Tbe demand has been good, and although a larger supply than usual was brought forward, purchasers were forthcoming, and sales were effected at fully late values. There was a good muster at the Durham Yards on Tuesday, and as a large proportion of the horses were strangers, there was a large attendance of buyers, and spirited competition. Prices fluctuated a good deal, but on the whole were in favour of vendorsas compared with the previous week’s values. We quote: Light harness end medium draught, from £7 to £ls 10s; hacks, £4 10s to £lO 53. Wool, hides, skins, etc.; The demand for heavy ox hides remains. There were average quantities pitched at the Durham Yards on Tuesday.no t with standing the holidays. We quote : Heavy ox, 4d to 5d per lb ; medium. 3d to 3:{d ; light ox and cow, lJd to 2Jd.; calfskins, 3d to 4jd; sheepskins, 2s 9d to 5s each; lambskins, 3s 9d to 4s 2d ; pelts, ls6d to 2s 8d; wool. 61d to 6:}d; tallow, 17s to 18s 6d. Cattle : The supply has not been quite so large as on the previous week, but a steady demand has existed. Dairy stock and stores were unaltered in value, but fat beast 3 were slightly higher. There was a moderate muster at the NevvinarketYards on Tuesday, and good bidding throughout, but there was little or no alteration in values. Some averages of fat steers were ; £7 2s 6d, £6 16s, £6 6s, £5 13s, £5 8s; cow?. £f 12s 6d, £4 Is. £4, £3 17s 6d. £3 15s, £2 12s 6d. Sheep : There was an average number penned at the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday', and the bidding was brisker than on the previous week. Wethers sold from 10s to 15a 3d each; ewes, 9s to 12s; mixed, 10s 9d to 11s 3d. Pigs: More plentiful: sold at from 2d to 2>)d psr lb live weight. Messrs A. Buckland and Sons’ Weekly Report.— At the Haymarket during the past week fodder has ruled low ; prices have ranged from Is 9d to 2s 6d per cwt.; wheat, 2s lid; maize, 3s Id to 3s 2d; oats, is 9d to 2s Id per bushel; onions, ljd per lb ; best chaff, £3 5s per ton. At the sale on Friday horses maintained the improved values of the previous week; heavy draught brought from £l3 to £2O ; useful light harness and riding horses, from 7 to 10 guineas each. At the hide and skin sale on Tuesday late prices were fully sustained; best ox hides ranged from 4:1 d tosgd; ordinary ox hides, 3d to old; cowhides, Rd to 2.1 d; calfskins, od per lb; loose fat. Id to lid per lb ; butchers’ sheepskins, 3s to ss; station skins, Is 9A to 4s 6d each ; wool, 7a to 7sd per lb. At the cattle sale hold at Pukekohe on Monday, there was a full muster of stock of all classes, with a large attendance. Fat cattle were dull of sale; all others in fair inquiry. AtR rauera on Thursday, dairy cattle were yarded numerously. Those at their profit were fairly competed for at late values ; backward springers at comparatively low values. Store cattle in demand at full values. Fat cattle, in usual number, were lower in price than last week about Is the 1001 b. Prices for steers were from 13s to 15s; cows, 11s to 13s the 1001 b. Fat calves, plentiful, were better worth than last week. Fat sheep, in usual supply, were firm at last week’s prices; long-woolled wethers, 13s to 14s 6d ; ewes, 8s to 11s; merino ewes, 7s each. Pigs were offered in very limited numbers; a few porkers only. Those' were at late rates.
Messrs G. W. Einney and Sons’ Report.— On Tuesday at the hide and skin sales a large catalogue was cleared under brisk competition. Stout ox are wanted, and sell atextreme values; medium weights, 40 to 54 lbs, are the most difficult to place, and are the only class that has not advanced in value : light kips and calf are wanted. We quote:—Prime picked ox, 4?d to 5-jd; heavy stout, 4d to 4fd; heavy, 3d to 3)d; cow. heavy, 2,)d to 2id ; medium, lid to 2d; kips, 2d to 3d; calf, 4d to 4£d per lb at each; local heavy green ox sell from 25s to 30s. Sheepskins: Competition very brisk, and values further advanced; local green longwools sold from 4s lid to 5s 5d ; crossbreds, 4s lOd; balf-breds, 4s to 4s 6d; country, dry. 5d to s:jd per lb. Tallow: Best, 16s to 18s; medium, 14s to lbs; inferior, 10s to 12s per cwt; rough fat, lid per lb. Bones firm at 4s 6d to 4s 9d per cwt. Flax in good demand ; we placed several consignments from £l6 10s to £lB per ton. Potatoes: Market glutted, and low prices have to be accepted.

Coal and Firewood Market.— Coal: Newcastle, at yard, 32s per ton; Bay of Islands, at mines, 13s ; at yards, 24s ; steam, 24s ; house, de livered. 30s : Waikato, at mines, Bs, 12s; town, 18s to 225; Taupiri, at mine. Bricks, at Avondale, 30s per 1,000 ; town yards, 38s ; delivered, 41s. Kauri Gum.— Tho local gum market is very firm and aotive for all good qualities. Poor ordinary is at about £4O to £4l per ton; fair ordinary, £42 ; best quality, £43 to £44; East Coast, £56 to £SB. The supplies for the month to date are 556 tons.
Manures.— Bonedust, Syclney.£7 to £7los, according to quality: bonefiour, £7 to £8; Auckland, £7; Long Island guano, £4 10s, bags included: superphosphate, first quality, £7 to £8 10s; second quality, £6 to £6los.
