MR VARLEY’S MISSION, AUCKLAND, Last Night. At a meeting ot’ Mr Varley’s missiop committee to-day the accounts and balance-sheet, duly audited, were passed. The total receipts were £322, and after payment of all expenses there was a balance of £7o,’ which will bo handed to Mr Vfpiey.
BOARD OF EDUCATION AND TE AC HE RS’ RESIDE N CES.
At the meeting of the Board of Education to-day, the following report of the Committee re teacher’s residences, was adopted : That teachers be held 1 aide for all internal repaits to resiliences, but exclusive of damage arising from fire, flood, or tempt s'. That outgoing teachers he requireuTo leave their residence cleaned fit for o cupation, and that the last month’s salary oy paid when the Board are sati-fied these conditions have been fulfilled.
