WARDEN’S COURT, THAMES.
THURSDAY, MAY 29th, 1890. (Before H. W.NortbcroftEsq., Warden) Amongst the applications dealt with were the following :—■ Roht. Clements, protection for Imperial, Karangahake.—The Alining Inspector said, that the land had been worked fairly well by Air Clements.— Granted. T. H. Russell, tramway,—Adjourned 26th June. E. M. Corbett, permit to cut timber at Waitekauri.—sGrante'd.
PLAINTS FOR FORFEITURE.
Alining Inspector v. Win. Murdoch. Block G. Al. Co., for not employing number of men specified by regulation. Mr Murdoch appealed to be allowed further time to endeavour to introduce capital, but the Warden replied that he could not accede to the request. When going over the ground Murdoch had pointed oiit to bjm (the Warden) where the shaft was to be put down, and nothing had yet been done. Forfeited.

August Soheidel, Remus lic-n-ad holding, Tararu.—Dr Scheidelsaid that lie wps about to intro duce a plant which he thought would , successfully trogt the complex ores of the district.—Eventually the Mining Inspector withdrew the plaint, and tile Warden then entertained . an application before the Court for font* months’ protection, hpt intimated that the ground would have to be worked at the end of that period. Alining Inspector v. Edwafd McDonnell, Romulus holding, Tararu —Withdrawn, op the understanding tluvt the groupd. would he worked at the end of four months, for which period protection was granted.
