Bravo, the winner of the last Melbourne Cup, has been purchased by Mr Southall or Messrs Apcar and Gasper, two prominent Indian turfites. Thirteen hundred guineas was the price paid for Grand Flaneur’s son, and as Mr Cripps, who purchased him under the hammer last November, only gave 975gns. for him, he has cleared about 30 per cent, on hisfivemontbs investment. P. Nolan still continues to be successful in the saddle in Sydney. At the Rosehill races on the 26th of April, he steered home Drummer, a son of Drum Major and Rosebud, owned by Mr W. Pemberton. Grafton started favourite and ran second.
