Ri-v J. Law was held in the Pukekohe Wesleyan church. ‘ , The church 'was qnitri'riill, every available scat being occupied. The meeting was a oim. We were pletfshd'To* See there friends from Tankau, Pokeno, and Bombay, besides many of oor Pukekohe friends belonging to other sections of the Christian oh arch Evidently Mr Law was much respected by others outside the Methodist church, or they would not have turned out in such large numbers to bid him good-bye. After partaking of the refreshments provided by the ladies, the meeting commenced by the choir singing “ Open the Beautiful Gate.” Prayer was then offered by Mr Jones. Mr Oldham, of Ttiakau, was then voted to the chair, and an excellent chairman he made. He first gave a short but pointed address himself, speaking of the advantages and disadvantages of the itinerant system. He was followed by Messrs Jones and Elliott of Tuaknn. Mr Moore, of P- keno, Mr Lin.lsay, of Bombay, and Messrs' .Allen, Wilson, Routly, and Fisher, of Pukekohe. These gentlemen spoke of the good work done by Mr Law in the circuit, of his kindly sympathetic manner, and of the quiet homely way in which lie had gone about his work. One and all joined in wishing him God speed in his new circuit. The, Rev J. Law then gave ns his parting address. The speeches were interspersed with musical selections by the choir, conducted by Mr J. Fisl er. The usual votes of thanks brought the meeting to .a close."
