LORD RANDOLPH CHURCHILL.

The “Tribune's” special from London says : Lord Randolph Churchill has marched over into the temperance camp, bag and baggage. Sir Wilfred Lawson and Caine hail him as something more than a recruit or an ally—they accept him as a leader. He has prepared a bill, of which both these eminent experts say that no better temperance Bill was ever presented in the House of Commons. It confers upon local authorities a direct veto upon license, and contains nob tx single word about compensation. Lord Randolph’s attitude on this and other social questions has brought down on his head some of the heaviest Tory thunder.

Lord Randolph minds all this as littlo as ever. He is bent on eight hour leaislation and other social legislation beside temper ance, and is convinced that social questions are uppermost.
