SALE OF THOROUGHBREDS.

I see by a late Melbourne paper that Mr W. R. Wilson had Kneecap submitted to auction. He found a purchaser in Mr H. Ryan at 180 guineas, and the ex-Auckland mare Coral brought 85 guineas, Mr Glassford being the buyer. The jumper Sluggard, who has won several races in Mr Wilson’s colours, brought 175 guineas. Among others auctioned were Soudan, by Musket—Maid of Athol, knocked down to Mr A. Fergusson at 180 guineas, and the much-talked-of Silverton, who realised 165 guineas. Mr A. Fergusson was also the buyer.
