HENDERSON’S MILL RACES.

Tho annual race meeting of the Henderson’s Mill Turf Club on Monday passed off most successfully, and I should think the attendance was one of the largest that has gathered on the course. The arrangements, though,, at the meeting were asprimitive as when tho Club started racing, and why ’ this should be the case it is difficult to answer. It has been alleged that the Club has drifted into a proprietary affair, but this is denied. One thing is certain, that the arrangements on the course are not up to the present times, and if it is contemplated to hold another gathering, it is imperative some change in this respect should be brought about.
