HEROIC CONDUCT OF A FIREMAN.
WANGANUI, Tuesday. At a fire in a four-roomed cottage which was burnt down at midnight, fireman Thompson distinguished himself by rushing through the flames and saving the lives of two children who were asleep in a back part of the building.
