SALE OF THOROUGHBREDS.
At \\ anganui last Saturday Messrs F. R. Jackson and Co. offered a number of racehorses for sale. Messrs Hill and Poole's Strenuous was the first offered, an i was ultimately knocked down to Mr J. W. Jackson for £4B, the bidding starting at £2O. Lethe, by Cadogan—Siesta, which wa3 started at £SO, was secured by Mr Lloyd, of Napier, for £llO. The entire Louis d'Or (Traducer-Rupee) was passed in at £7O, and Mr \W Wilson’s yearling colt Fraternity (Dauphine—Sissie) was started at £SO and passed in at £52. Empress was passed in at £3O, and Mr Bell’s Waiter at £65. MrScally secured Laundress, a Mufti, for £l3, but Fair Ellen (Somnus —Lady Elleu) was passed at £4O, and Vision (Somnus— Roulette) at £3B.
