STUD COMMISSIONS.

.While Mr G. Markwell, the Queensland stud-master, was in Auckland, he left a commission with Air D. B. Tonka to purchase several brood mares that he had looked over. Among the number were Bangle, and Engagement, who is browsing in the Christchurch Middle Bark Stud. The owner of Bangle declined to deal except at a figure considered too high, and the reply from Christchurch was Miss Robinson (daughter of the late Hon. W. Robinson) would nob part with Engagement.
