AN ADVANCE THREATENED,
Auckland, March 15. For some time past the farmers In the neighbourhood of the town and suburbs, and also the local dairymen, have been complaining that the price they obtain for their milk at presentisinadequate, considering tho great drought which has prevailed for the last two months and the consequent difficulty experienced by farmers. In order to consider the question of raising the price of milk a meeting of dairymen and several country pepplo was held last evening at Robson’s Rooms, considerable discussion, in which it was eyi.qepb that all desired a rise in the price, it >vas decided to consult the sellers of milk in the tby/n .and suburbs, and ascertain . their views upon the proposed increase in the price ,pf milk.
