A meeting of Grey mouth coal miners at Taylorville last evening took a ballot as to whether the men should demand 2s lOd gross weight, and if the request is not complied with to take their tools out of the mine. The result of the ballot for 2s lOd face coal was 230, against 25 : informal, 3. Previously the men were working for 4s per ton round coal. It i 3 expected the strike will last about three weeks.
