The results of several colonial shipments of butter are stated in an English cablegram just received:—At the sale of butter received by the s.s. Cuzco, choice quality brought from 100 s to 105 s, medium quality 78s. The shipments by Cobden, New Plymouth, and Camden Anchor . factories, arrived in epleudid condition. Some of the parcels from, the Auckland Dairy Association are said -to . have a fishy taste. New Zealand mutton is-quoted at 4|d ; Sydney, 4|d; Rockhampton, 4d. Some of the latter were stained, and all misshapen, owing to the carelessness displayed ■in freezing. Many of the sheep were old, and of irregular- size and quality; smaller carcases of more even quality were of equal value. River Plate and New Zealand" beef,«hindquarters realised 4id ; forequarters, 3|d ;• Queensland hindquarters, 4id; New Zealand cheese, 48s ; = best quality New Zealand butter, 70s. ;' ■ « < :
