WARDEN’S COURT, THAMES.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 20th. (Before H. W.NortlicroftEsq., Warden) The usual sitting of the Warden’s Court washeld asabove,when thefollow ing applications were d«alt with : —J. Al. McLaren, Onyx, adjourned 20th March ; T, A. Dun lop, Alburnia Extended, granted ; M. Steward, occupation license, granted ; S. Drydcn, mullock tip, adjourned 27th inst; C Nash, agricultural lease, adjourned 27th inst ; Thomas Bull, special machine site, adjourned 2.oth March; John Kneebone, residence site, adjourned 20th March ; Robt. Noble, occupation licence, adjourned 20th March ; Annie Noble, do. ; R Webster, tunnel, anjourned to enable the Warden to visit it ; P. Sinclair, use of Golden Gable tunnel, granted ; C. Waite, residence site, granted. The following applications for forfeitnre for non-com-pliance with the Mining Regulations, lodged by the Mining Inspector, were then dealt with : —G. Crocker and Crosbie Kidd, Mt Edwards; Mr Wilson withdrew the plaint, and protection was granted for three months to work with three men. Adeline Amalgamated G, M, Co, Mr Miller appeared for the defendants and stated that this case had been adjourned from last Court day, in order to see what the Company intend doing in reference to working the claim. In addition to the

three men who have been constantly employed, two wages men have been engaged and Uvo tributes bad been let, each to work with two men. His Worship adjourned the case until Thursday next, so that he might visit the ground and see what work had been made and is now in progress. H. Baker, Sunbeam, Te Mata Creek, forfeited ;J. Ralph, Mariposa, Waitekauri, adjourned 27th inst. in order that the Warden might inspect the ground; F. Challis, Mariposa Extended, Waitekauri, forfeited ; Silvorton G. M. Co‘s special claim at YVaihi, adjourned 6th March ; New Eureka G.M. Co,, Otanui, adjourned 20th March ; Mata G.M. Co , Mata Croek. forfeited ; D R. Gellion, Walhalla, Karangahake, adjourned 27th iust. so that the Warden might inspect the ground ; William Littlejohn, Standard licensed holding, Karungahuke, adjourned 27th inst ; R. T. Douglas, part of Eureka G.M. Co’s pro pei ty, adjourned 20th March.—Advertiser.
