To-day an extraordinary meeting of shareholders in the Crown Gold Alining Company was held. The business was to'receive the usual accounts and pass resolutions empowering the directors to wind up the Company. Air Adam Porter presided. It was resolved (the resolutions being embodied in three motions) that the Company be voluntarily wound up, and (hat shareholders in t e Crown mine receive 85 per cent of the value of their shares in new shares to he allotted in the English Company, formed under the title of the New Zealand Crown Alines Company ; and that u final dividend of 11s 2d per share be paid to shareholders. CASE OF LEPROSY IN AUCKLAND. Yesterday a Chinamen, who is carrying on business as a market gardner at Arch Hill, was brought in to Dr BalteweU’s consulting rooms, and after a most careful and extended examination, was pronounced to he suffering from leprosy; at the same time the disease is not of that virulent form which shows itself in ulcers and outward sores.
