TIMARU SUPREME COURT.
Timaru, Feb. 11. At the Supreme Court there are only two criminal cases. A lad of 14, an errand boy, who had just left school, pleaded guilty to forging and uttering a cheque for £l. He was admitted to probation for three months. An old offender giving the name of King, who had been previously convicted at Hawera and Patea, was found guilty of stealing £2 7s from the bedroom of the Junction Hotel. He was sentenced to three years’ penal servitude. His previous game had been imposing on hotelkeepers, and in this he gave out ha was a son of Bishop Lincoln.
