PROPOSED PROSPECTING.
Thames, February 11At a meeting of the Drainage Board day, a series of resolutions were proposed by Mr Brodie and were adopted affirming the desirability of testing the deep levels of the Thames by means of a diamond drill, and Mr Lennox was authorised to convene in Auckland at an early date a meeting of all interested in mining, in order to take some definite steps for the develoDin6nfe of the low levels.
