WELLINGTON SUMMER MEETING. At the concluding day’s racing of the Wellington Racing Club’s" Summer Meeting the attendance was about 1,500. £5,482 was put through the machines, making £11,204 for the two days, or £2,635 more than the Summer Meeting last year. The Wellington Racing Club Handicap, mile, fell to Lady Florin, by Musket—Florin, Kotuku being second, and Cynisca (the favourite) third. Dividend, £6 11s. Strephon, by Ingomar—Elfin, won the Juvenile Handicap, and Wakatipu gob home first in the Placed Handicap. Pursestring appropriated the Selling Race, and Angler the Hutt Park Handicap. Nominations for Tattersall’s Club Meeting close next Friday. Major George has received a telegram from Mr W. R. Wilson, to the effect that the stallions and brood mares wbioh the latter gentleman purchased during his visit to England have arrived safely at Adelaide. The general entries for the Dunedin Jockey Club Autumn Meeting closed on Saturday night. Notwithstanding the defection of the Northern owners, they exceed those of last year by 17. Pygmalion, Town Moor, and Freedom have paid up in the Champagne Stakes.
