The streets are crowded with strangers, and accommodation an the hotels cannot bo got. EMBEZZLEMENT~AT THAMES. The bearing.of the various charges of embezzlement preferred by George Mcßride, against Frank William Hill, was concluded at the Thames to day, when accused was sentenced to one months’ imprisonment inSbortland Gaol, Thames. ARRIVAL OF LORDS ONSLOW AND - • : CARRINGTON. ENTHUSIASTIC RECEPTION. Lords Onslow and Carrington arrived by special train from Waikato to- day. They were met and welcomed by the Mayor. An immense crowd of spectators were present, and enthusiastic cheers given, v DISABLED CUTTER. The cutter Two Brothers, bound for Manakan, has put into Tom Bowlings Bay. with fill sails blown away. She arrived in the Bay with blankets set up for sails.
