The Wesleyan Conference is now sitting at Christchurch. Rev.J. J. Lewis lias been elected President. All the ministerial probationers have passed their examinations successfully ; an i Mr W. ,J. Elliott, formerly Home Missionary in this district,: lias beenreceived as a Student for the Ministry. The second reading of stations took place yesterday morning, Rev J. Smith bein<» put down-for Upper Thames, aud : Rev S. Lawry for Invercargill. All the stations are subject to revision at the third reading, which will take place dur-‘, ing next week,
