DR. HECTOR THE NEXT PRESIDENT. Melbourne, Jan. 15. Sir James Hector, of New Zealand, has been nominated as the next Ptesident of the Association for the Promotion of Science, which has just concluded its annual sittings in this city. The next annual session takes place in Christchuich. Before closing, a committee was appointed to inquire into the whole question of wheat rust.
