The several events of the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club Meeting resulted : Christmas Handicap of 7osovs, gmile.— Whisper, 9st 7lb, 1; Katinka, 7st 21b, 2; Dauphine, 7st 31b, 3. Dividend £1 7s. Trial Handicap of 40sovs (mile and a distance).—Red Comyn, 6st, 1; Hikatero, 7st 91b, 2; Too Blue, 7st, 3. Dividend, £l6 15s. Handicap Hurdle Race of 75sovs (two miles). —Ariel, 9at 71b,1 ; Denbigh, Ust7lb, 2; Uranus, list 61b, 3. Dividend, £4 12s. Summer Handicap of 165sovs. miles. —Kotuku, 7st 51b, 1 ; Burd Helen, 6st 51b, 2 ; Katinka, 6st 61b, 3. Silence, Lenore, Man Friday, Fardingalo, Fart ner. The Laird, Grace Darling, Tit, and Kaihero also ran. Won by neck, nose dividing second and third. Time, 2min 40 4-sth sec. Dividend, £6 13s. Two-year old Handicap of 75sovs, 5 furlongs.—St. Andrew, Bst, 1; Dreamland, 9st 21b, 2; Kapo, 7st 21b, 3. Dividend, £9 2s. PALMERSTON RACES. The Palmerston North Boxing Day Handicap was won by Montrose, 6st 91b ; Foxton, 6st 71b, eecond ; and Eclat, 7st 101 b, third. Eight started. Won by half-a length. Time, 3min 9sec. Dividend, £3 17s. REEFTON RACES. The lieefton-Inanguhua Cup was won by Steelbone, 9st; Sweetie, Bst 101 b, second ; and British Lion, 9st 41b, third. Won by a short nose. Dividend, £2 4s. TOKOM AIRIRO RACES. The Maiden Plate, owing to the greasy state of the ground, was a chapter of accidents, no fewer than four horses coming to grief, and two of them having to be destroyed. Miss Ann won the principal, handicap, paying a dividend of £Bl7s. Telephone secured the Two Mile Trot. In the Novel Race Don, who was leading, fell, bringing down Cora. Christie, wfip rode Fairy Maid in the Plate, was severely injured, bub the. other riders escaped comparatively unhurt. ‘ HEATHCOTE RACES.: At the Lower Heabhcote races the Cup was won by Rosebud, 9s t- 121 b; Roadmetal, 75t71b,2; Erin-go-bragh,Bstl2lb,3. The Midsummer Handicap was also won by Rosebud.
