KUAOTUNU GOLDFIELD. ANOTHER EXCELLENT CRUSHING. THIRTEEN AND A HALF OUNCES TO THE TON.

Tub second parcel of five tons of stone from' the Try Fluke claim, Kuaotunu, was treated at Messrs Eraser and Sons' Foundry, Stanley-street, and finished at the Bank of New Zealand yesterday, giving the excellent return of 1630z 16dwt melted gold. It was noticed before the crushing was completed that the parcel Was not quite equal to the five tons treated J at the Thames, but the result is nevertheless highly , satisfactory. Five tons from the same claim treated at the Moanataiarrbattery gave about 720z melted gold, so that the average would be about 13Aoz melted gold to the ton. Mr Hornibrook, manager ,ot the mine, is well satisfied with th^ results, and also with the care bestowed y on the test bothby Messrs Fraaer and Sons and at the Moan.vtaiari Battery.
