SOUTH AUCKLAND RAGING CLUB. MEETING AT HAMILTON.
The summer meeting of the South Auckland Club, held at Claudelands on Saturday last was very successful, quite 1500 people attending, and something like £1300 was passed through the totalisator. There was one casualty — the young horse Forest King "falling dead in the saddling paddock at the conclusion of a race. Tradesmen's Plate, 35sovs.; 1 mile ard a distance : Haricot, T ; Hipporina colt, 2. Soiling Hur.lle, 25sovs., 1^ miles : Shamrock, 1 ; Ivory, 2 ; Native, 3. F.ying Handicap, 20sovs., 6 furlongs: •ur, 1 ; Parnell, 2 ; Haricot, 3.
