I his ordinnry monthly meeting <.>f (be Wnitoa Road Boird tonic place in the Not iugham Cu^ile Hotel, Moirinsville, on Saturday, SOlh November, uH. Present : Mcssis W. P. Cli^pmcll (in toe chu.ii ), H. Burnett, J. Ilorrell, ami J. Turn 1 nil. Amongst (1)0 coripspondence was a loiter ?rw the Clerk to the Ohincniuii Comity Council, reporting llmt when the allocation of Native rates of the Oliinemnri County is made, the Council will n'we dne consideration to the proposal to open up a road to the Pinko Native Settlement. A Titter from Mr E. Vnys^y, wishing the Board to form the road fioni the main ro.id at the Waiaou saleyards to Mr H. Ross' property. The Board admitted that the work would be a benefit, but found that there were no funds available to do it A letter from the Public Trustee, requesting that the name of Mr Patrick O'Grady, be put on the Roll as occupier and owner of Section 20, Block XII, Te Aroha. A letter received from the PaymasterGeneral, reporting that the sum of L 4 14s sd, had been remitted to the credit of the Board aa arrears of rates on Crown Lands. A letter from the Commissioner of Crown Lands, with cheque for L5l 6s, being the third of Deferred Payments, nnd amounts on account of Perpetual Lease lands. The following tenders were received for contract on Taylors Road : Nil and and Cronin, LI 2 9a ; E. Yoysey, LlO 18s 6d ; El. Ross, LlO 10s ; T. Stanley, LlO ; O. McCabe, LlO ; P. Dillon (accepted), L8 18s. The following tenders were received for the contract near Farmer's : C. Murphy, LlO 9s ; Jas. Orr, £9 ; T. Stanley, L8 ; P. Dillon, L 7 10s ; O. McCabe (accepted), L 7. The following tenders were received for the contract near Wood's : J. Orr, L 5 18s 81 ; T. Stanley, L 5 : H. Ross, L 5, P. Dillon, L 4 19s ;O. McCabe (accepted), L 4 4s. The following accounts were passed for payment : R. Parr, L 2 7s 6d ; C. Collins, LI 8s ; T. Stanley, L 7 5s ; Prime and Co., 2s 6.*; Y. Pavitt, L 5 ss.
