(Before ir. W, Northcroft, Esq., R.H.) •Jamks May v. John Howland, claim £13 for wage?. No appearance of defendant. Judgment for £13, and 22s costs. M unlock McCrae v. John Howlan-1, claim £27 for wages. No appearance of defendant. Judgment for j£27 s and 32s costs, Trustees in estate of W. S. Collins, storekeeper, Waiorongomai v, John Howland, claim £57 13s, for goods supplied. No appearance of defendant. Sir Wm, Wastenoys solicitor, foi plaintiff. Judgment for £o7 13s, and £3 17s co*ts. John Williams v. Louis Petery. Judgment summons, £2 15s Bd. Adjourned till next Court day at plaintiff's request. \V. S. Collins v. M. W. D. O'Keeffe, claim £7 2s Gd, jndgnieut summons. Sir Win. Wasteneys, solicitor, for plaintiff. Defendant stated that about two months ago he offered to pay £1 per month, but could not do that now, as he had not been in work for wages since September 4th. On September 7th he paid Mr Collins £3, out of a cheque for £4 he received for wages, which then left a balance of £4 10s lOddue; but expenses had been piled on, bringing up the amount now claimed to L 7 2s Gd. Ho was now woiking along with mates as a tributor in the Coloni-t mine. Since September 4th he had earned and receive 1 about Ll3. Ho had some land, but said that was more a source of loss than profit to him. lie was willing to pay the L 4 10s lOd, but he protested against paying the very heavy expenses he had been drawn into through no fault of his own. Ordered to pay by instalments of LI per mouth, the first payment to be made on January 10th. This was all the business, and the Couit adjourned at 10.30 n.m
