L he weight of cui'li' ore treated in No. 1 was lOlbs, an-] yielded 8 oz. of con— cenfciates, or equal lo 5 per cent of the oiioin.nl weight returned in concentrates. That is to say twenty tons of such ore would yield one ton of concentrates of assay value !

lii values at L 4, and 3s per oz., Ll 6s, and 2s 81. Tofal, Ll 8s Bd. Lot 2 was evidently panned down by your associate too close, as the residue oF concentrates only weighed loz., Wing the. product from lOlbs crn le ore, or about GrlOth pf pne per cent concentrated, Aceordhisrto iliis test, it would take lfiO tons to prod nee one ton of concenrrates, Ihe value of which would be L 355 4s lid, or about 100 tons of crude ove at L 2 4s 5d per ton saved. As the assay value of the crude ore was :— *
per ton, ifc would show that about 92^ jer cent oF the assay vnlue of the cru'le ore was produced in (he concentrates, From these mechanical or hand concentrating tests it may be assured that your ore will concentrate well, and we advise yon to have bulk samples tested in onr works of. not less than one ton in each Ipt.
