THEY WISH THE PROCLAMATION DELAYED. Whangarei, 2.30 p.m.
An " Advocate " third extra is just issued. It states that as a result of the meeting of the Prospectors' Association Mr R. Thompson, M.H.R., will not be requested to ask the Go\ernment to at once proclaim the held, the prospectors being anxious to assure all their rights first. Pioneers of the coming rush, in the persons of Messrs Frater, Carrick, and Melville, sharebrokers, arrived this morning, and Messrs Frater and Melville leave for Puhipuhi on Monday.
