Mr and Mrs Dearmer were married about 15 years ago, bub their marriage was not a particularly happy one, and the husband went away about five years ago. Ib wat> rumoured he was dead, and some time since Mrs Dearmer went to live as housekeeper with Captain Price, of Brokenhill. Dearmer returned a fortnight ago and wished his wife tri go. back and live with him, but &he refused and told him he had better institute dis'orce proceedings. He then left, but came back the next afternoon, demanding to see his wife. He was met by Uaptain Price's son, who endeavoured to prevent his entering the room where Mrs Dearmer • .was. Dearmer then pulled out a revolver, and during the struggle it went off, hitting: Price in the leg. Mrs Dearmer then rushed out, and pointing a revolver at her husband, pulled the trigger. The bullet struck him pn. the left rib, but glanped down wlthqut seriously injuring hin}. Price then succeeded in wresting the revolver from the husband, and the police entering the room arrested husband and wife, who are now in custody charged with shooting with intent
