Lady Florin was an even-money favourite. After a couple ot breaks away the field was despatched to a fair start. Weka at once rushed to the fionc, and led Lady FJoiin and Forestei pa^t the stand, Lonore and Sincerity last. By tliu river WeUa was nearly a dozen lengths ahead of Lady Florin, who led Forostcr and Montrose by three lengthy. Another lurlong traversed saw Weka coming back to Lady Florin, while Forester improved hi^ position, and Montrose fell back beaten. Pacing the road, Lady Florin and Forester were racing together, with Weka close up, and Lenoie a couple of lengths away. Half-way down the straight Forester looked all over a winner, but Lenoro coming with a wot sail cut him down on the post, and won by the shortest of heads. At the distance Lenoie was almost on level terms with Akabea, but could nob quite get up, and Mr Martin's horse, struggling on under the whip, won by a bare head, Clyde a fair third, Hukatere pulling up last. Hutt Racecourse, November 19. The second dpy'a racing is proceeding. It is lovely weather and the attendance is about the same as on Saturday.
