OUTRAGE BY BLACKS.

A tklemjam from llockbamptou states that Mr J. A. Macartney, of Waverley station, near Bioadsound, has received news of the death of Mr Thomas Hardy, station manager, who was speared by blacks at Auvergne station, South Australia, on 4th September. The Government) steamer Ark was despatched to the station to take Mr Hardy to Port Darwin, but before the boat reached there he had succumbed to his injuries. One correspondent says that deceased was stiuck on the breast with a stone spear, the head of which Hew out of the shaft ; and his hurt was such that he breathed through the wound. The party who lefb to bring Mr Hardy back to Palmers ton, l'eturned aiter a rough trip. Hardy was dead some time before their arrival.,
