THE LONDON STRIKES. DOCKERS' UNION STRENGTHENING. 'BUSMEN'S STRIKE THREATENED. THE DOCK STRIKE FUNDS. London, November 16.
The General Steam Navigation Company have suspended the Boulogne trade owing to the action of the men. The Dockers' Union is gradually gaining strength, and now numbers 30,000. The 'busmen have resolved to strike on M <nday unless the proprietors agree to their demand for twelve hours' day work. The financial committee of the strikers have now closed accounts, and the credit s'de shows that the Austrian colonies contributed ,£30,800 ; the English trades unions only contributed On Wednesday the committee meet to decide as to the disposal <.f the surplus, but their action is subject to the approval of the donors.
