NAVAL DEFENCES. ANGLO-COLONIAL PROPOSALS.
London, October 19. The Birmingham " Gazette" states thab Lords Knutsford and Hamilton have entrusted Earl Hopetoun, the Governor-elect of Victoria, with proposals for extending the naval partnership between England and Australia. Primarily the proposals are to be submitted to the Victorian Parliament, and afterwards to the other Colonial Parliaments.
