The Paris Exhibition.
Thr following amongst othpr awards have been grunted in connection with thp above to exhibitors from the colony. In the department of minerals, the following hare received prize*? : — The Now Zealand Govprnment, who earned 23 murks, are allotted the grand prize ; Welcome Company, silver medal ; and the Old Caledonian Company, Keep It D<»rk Company, Kapantja Company, and th* 1 Endeavour Inlnt Company, each a silver modal. Bronze medals have been awarded to the Waiota'ii, the Champion and the United Alpine. The Phoenix Company receive* a silver medal, and the Brqnncr Coal Company, which gained 16 marks. In wools, the following awards have been announced : — Messrs R. Campbell and Sons, 20 marks, arold medal ; Messrs Rowley ami Hamilton, 16 marks, sold medid ; Mr Douglas McLean, 18 marks, goM medal ; Auckland Chamber of Commerce, 15 marks, silver medal ; Mr W. Ha9tie f 14 marks, silver medal ; Hon Matthew Holmes, 14: marks, silver medal jMr J. N. Williams, 14 marks, silver medal ; Messrs Joseph and Phillips, 12 marks, silver Tiedal ; Mr John Reid, 14 marks, silver medal ; Mr Frederick Crowe, J> marks, bronze medal i Mr Charles Gaultpr, 10 marks, bronze medal ; Mr W. B. Allen, 8 marks, bronze medal j Mr Marmarfnke Dixon, 10 marks, bronze medal ; and Messrs Red fern, Alexander* ami Co., 5 marks, honnnrable mention. For wheats the New Zealand Government receives a gold medal ; tho New Zealand Farmers' Co-operative Association, a gold medal; tho Auckland Roller Mills, a gold medal ; Messrs Fnlton and Ores well, a silver medal ; Hon. Matfche-w Holmes and Messrs J. and T. Meek, each a silver medal.
