LATEST FROM AUCKLAND. BOARD OF EDUCATION. INSPECTOR FIDLER WITHDRAWS HIS RESIGNATION. AUCKLAND, Last Night.
At the Board of Education to-day, the following telegram was received fiom Mr FidliT : "My resignation was sent in under pressure of temporary worry. Is it too late to go back ? If so, then please consider me applicant for posiiion, as advertised at £300. Have now been eight years SGrvant Board, arid always striven irive satisfaction." It w. id pointed out that under llule S, it wad too late to
withdraw the resignation, and Mr Fidlev's application irust stand in with the others.
