When the flag fell Kapo was left at the post. Sleep at once rushed to bho front, but it was not lopg before Dryad came up, and entered the straight first. Here a pretty race ensued between Dryad, Pearl Powder, and Dreamland, resulting in Mr Gollans filly winning a splendid race by half-a-neck from Dryad, with Dreamland, half-a-lencth away, third. In consequence ot Tirailleur's win yesterday at Napier, there was at once a stong run on him for the New Zealand Cup, and what money was available was immediately snapped up at hundreds to ten and twelve. Christchukoh, Sept. 30. Silvermark has been scratched for the New Zealand Cup, and Corunna and Fabulous foi all engagements at the G.J.C. Spring Meeting.
